Move-In Check List

Gilmore Place: Move-In Checklist

Work through these tasks around your move. Some apply to everyone; others are specific to owners or tenants.

1. Book your move

  • Book a move-in elevator slot through the concierge. A move-in deposit is required. (Everyone)

2. Register with Rancho

  • Owners: submit your ownership papers to Rancho. (Owner)Landlords: provide your tenant with Form K (Notice of Tenant's Responsibilities) and file it with Rancho. (Tenant/Landlord)Owners: set up recurring strata fee payments in the Rancho owner portal. (Owner)Register to receive building notices and memos from Rancho https://www.ranchovan.com/. (Everyone)

3. Set up utilities

  • Connect BC Hydro (electricity) in your name. (Everyone)
  • Set up internet — the building is serviced by Novus or Telus. (Everyone)

4. Insurance

  • Owners: secure owners (strata lot) insurance — required under the strata bylaws. (Owner — required by bylaw)
  • Tenants: arrange renters insurance — strongly recommended; ensuring tenants are insured is the landlord's responsibility. (Tenant)

5. Concierge & access

  • Ensure the concierge has the correct phone numbers for the enterphone
  • Confirm your assigned locker and parking spot with the concierge. (Everyone)
  • Get your Xplor login details from the concierge for amenity bookings and entry. (Everyone)

6. Guest Visting - Registration Reminder 

  • Please make sure you tell you guest when they visit there are two things they need to do. There is a ticket they take at the gate they must validate on exit, they must also register their license plate.  There are signs in the parking lot on level 3 and there is WiFi.  Please make sure to remind them and remember for them so they dont get a parking ticket.  There is a link in the home page.  This parking is enforced please be mindful.
